A family in Amman, Jordan are searching for an experienced ABA therapist / BCBA to work with their non-verbal 7-year-old boy who has a diagnosis of ASD.

Applicants are required to have a minimum of 4 years ‘in field’ experience and a BCBA certification. In addition, we are looking for someone who shows initiative and enthusiasm and is experienced working with non-verbal children of a similar age.

The child can successfully follow one-step instructions and communicate by guiding and using word approximations, such as “duce” for “juice”. Though non-verbal, he is working to develop his pronunciation. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a kind and compassionate boy who very affectionate as he transition into grade 1 in a mainstream school setting.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Set and Implement Program Targets.
• Shadow one-to-one in school.
• Organise and maintain the teaching environment, and instructional activities.
• Oversee day-to-day management of learners’ programs.
• Participate in assessment and treatment meetings.
• Review and provide feedback on progress reports.

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Certification: BCBA
• Expertise in Verbal-Behaviour. Ideally would have at least 3 years’ experience in supervising high quality Verbal Behaviour programs and adopting them to individual programs.
