BCBA role in Lagos, Nigeria – $70k per annum + Accommodation

Location: Lagos, Nigeria

A modern and international family are looking for a BCBA to work with their 2 children in Lagos, Nigeria. Both children have a diagnosis of autism and have had great success with ABA programs already put in place whilst living in London, UK.

The family have a 6-year-old boy who will need assistance as he transitions to mainstream school. He is fully verbal but with a communication delay. The successful BCBA applicant will also be working with a 5-year-old girl with a severe communication delay and struggles with full sentences but, has had great progress since beginning to speak 9-months ago.

Applicants are required to have a minimum of 5 years ‘in field’ experience and BCBA certification. In addition, we are looking for someone who shows initiative, enthusiasm and experienced working in a multi-disciplinary team. Fluency in English is essential.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Set and Implement Program Targets
  • Shadow one-to-one in school
  • Organise and maintain the teaching environment, and instructional activities
  • Oversee day-to-day management of learners’ programs
  • Review and provide feedback on progress reports

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Certification: BCBA
  • Expertise in Verbal Behaviour. Ideally would have at least 3 years’ experience in supervising high quality Verbal Behaviour programs and adopting them to individual programs.
  • Experience of working and coordinating within a multidisciplinary team including OT. Ability to help train fine motor skills also beneficial.

  • $70,000 per-annum (negotiable and dependant on experience)
